Join us for two hours of live music, dancing and musical discovery. Together with salsa musicians and our teachers Camilo and Michel, you’ll explore how salsa music works and learn to express what you hear through your dancing.
From discovering the rhythms of individual instruments to interpreting entire songs, everything happens through movement, guided exercises and lots of dancing.
No dry music theory. You’ll learn by listening, moving and dancing to a live band.

What to expect–
4 PHASES, 2 HOURS OF LIVE MUSIC & DANCING
No long lectures, no sitting around. You’ll explore salsa music through movement,
guided exercises and plenty of dancing throughout the entire experience.
Phase 1 - Dance the Instruments
Duration: 30 min | Solo Dancing
What?
Discover the rhythms and accents of salsa instruments like the güiro, congas and campana, and learn to express them through Salsa Caleña movements.
How?
Through guided footwork and movement exercises accompanied by live musicians.
Takeaway
Learn to recognize different instruments and translate their rhythms into your dancing.
Phase 2: Dance the Phases of a Song
Duration: 30 min | Partner Dancing
What?
Explore the different phases of a salsa song, from intro to montuno and mambo, and discover how each one influences your dancing.
How?
Through partner dancing with suitable Salsa Caleña steps and turns to well-known songs played live.
Takeaway
Learn to adapt your dancing to the structure and changing energy of the music.
Phase 3: Musicality in Action
Duration: 30 min | Solo Dancing
What?
Explore how to express musical accents, breaks and sounds from percussion and brass instruments through movement.
How?
By creating and practicing a short choreography together with the live musicians.
Takeaway
Learn to bring musical details to life through expressive and playful dancing.
Phase 4: Live Concert & Social Dancing
Duration: 30 min | Free Dancing
What?
Enjoy an intimate live salsa concert and put everything you’ve learned into practice.
How?
Dance freely to the live band in a relaxed social atmosphere.
Takeaway
Experience a deeper connection between the music and your dancing.
